Tribute to Didier Lockwood (2023)

With Tribute to Didier Lockwood, Alexandre Cavaliere pays homage to the musician who profoundly shaped his journey and inspired an entire generation of violinists.
More than a simple album of reinterpretations, this project is a declaration of love to the freedom, creativity, and transmission that Didier embodied.

Through sensitive interpretations and bold reworkings, Alexandre revisits the universe of the master while infusing it with his own sonic identity — blending lyricism, energy, and vibrant improvisation.
Surrounded by a close-knit quartet, he delivers a heartfelt album that is both respectful and personal, where every note resonates like a gesture of gratitude.

Rebounce (2023)

The jazz violin of Alexandre Cavaliere and the classical guitar of Adrien Brogna blend with talent, finesse, and joy. Brazilian colors resonate over improvisations that are as eclectic as they are surprising. But it is not only the Brazil of Jobim or Guinga that is invoked. Mauricio Carrilho, Marcos & Paulo Valle, Didier Lockwood… are also reinterpreted in deeply personal flights. It is beautiful, delicate, and luminous.

Tides (2017)

Alexandre Cavaliere, a virtuoso violinist recognized from a very young age (first album at 12!), has over the years and through key encounters freed himself from his Gypsy swing influences. Together with the other musicians of the Almadav Project, he has formed a completely original ensemble, where a trombone, a guitar, and a violin join the traditional rhythm section.
Drawing from their diverse experiences and influences — starting with the eclecticism and creativity of Belgian jazz — the musicians of Almadav Project create, through their compositions, a modern jazz that remains deeply rooted in tradition.

Three of Might Part I (2009)

Combining electric jazz and graphic art, the Darwin Case concept aims to go beyond a simple ‘video–audio’ collage to create true interaction.

Initiated by Xavier Rogé, improvisation — at the heart of the project — is both musical and graphical. Video projections and live painting sometimes draw inspiration from the music, and at other times guide and fuel the musicians’ creativity.
Resolutely modern and embracing everything digital, the music of this promising project carries no complexes and no limits. Jazz becomes ambient, punctuating its groove with electronic elements.
